CBP to Increase Exams in Three Industries

In testimony before Congress in late February, CBP told the House Appropriations Committee Subcommittee on Homeland Security that they are going to increase inspections in the pharmaceutical, electronics and wearing apparel industries. Shipments for companies that participate in the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT), Importer Self Assessment (ISA) program and participants in CBP‘s Centers of Expertise and Excellence will be excluded from the increase in inspections.
