All-Threats Trusted Trader Co-Creation Working Group

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is collaborating with the trade community to “co-create” a recommended approach for an all-threats trusted trader program. CBP has successfully used the “co-creation” approach on recent projects like Advance Cargo Automated Screening (ACAS) and Simplified Entry to good effect. CBP has found that the sharing of expertise inherent in this approach results in solutions, which meet the needs of the government and the private sector. This working group’s goal is to identify a framework for a trusted trader program that addresses and mitigates a wide spectrum of security, trade, and import safety threats compromising international supply chains. As this working group develops potential recommendations, CBP will continue to keep the trade informed of new developments, and, if appropriate, will solicit input from additional members of the trade community.
